By downloading, installing, or using the Taura mobile application ("Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not download or use the Application.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Taura ("we," "us," or "our"). Your continued use of the Application following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Taura is an AI-powered conversation practice application that helps users improve their communication skills through interactive voice and text-based sessions. The Application uses advanced AI technology to simulate real conversations, providing users with a safe and judgment-free environment to practice speaking.
Certain features of the Application are available through a paid subscription ("Taura Gold"). Access to premium features requires an active subscription as described in Section 5.
The conversation practice and feedback provided by Taura is generated by artificial intelligence and is intended for educational and practice purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional language instruction, therapy, coaching, or any other professional service.
AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for every situation. You should use your own judgment when applying any feedback or guidance provided by the Application. Taura makes no representations about the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content.
Do not rely solely on this Application for high-stakes communication situations. Always seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.
To access certain features of the Application, you must create an account using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We strongly advise against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may compromise the security of the Application and your data.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Application ceases immediately.
Taura Gold is a premium subscription that unlocks additional features within the Application. Details of what is included in Taura Gold are displayed within the Application and are subject to change.
Subscription fees are charged through your Apple ID and processed by Apple. All pricing is displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase. Taura does not store your payment information.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Your Apple ID will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to Taura Gold features until then. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods except where required by applicable law.
All subscription transactions are managed by Apple. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's Terms and Conditions. Taura has no control over Apple's billing practices and is not responsible for any disputes arising from Apple's handling of your payment.
The conversation practice feature requires access to your device's microphone. Voice recordings captured during your sessions are transmitted in real time to our AI service providers (ElevenLabs and OpenAI) solely to deliver the service. These recordings are not stored on our servers after your session ends. Before using this feature, you will be presented with an explicit consent screen disclosing what data is shared, who it is shared with, and how it is used. You must actively agree to this disclosure before any data is transmitted.

The Application, including all content, features, functionality, design, code, trademarks, and intellectual property, is owned exclusively by Taura and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Application.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Application for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Taura shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:

The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Taura does not warrant that the Application will function without interruption or error, that defects will be corrected, or that the Application or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Application at your own risk.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Taura only, and not with Apple, Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the Application or its content.
Taura, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the Application. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the Application.
In the event that the Application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Taura's sole responsibility.
Taura, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Application or your use of the Application, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
In the event of any third-party claim that the Application or your possession and use of the Application infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Taura, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
